About Inkbit

Inkbit is an additive manufacturing company located in Medford, Massachusetts.  Our Inkbit Vista system is designed for mass production of end-use polymer 3D printed parts. We have incorporated a novel technology called Vision-Controlled Jetting (VCJ) that delivers high-resolution print capability enabling users to print parts with dimensional accuracy and precision at high volume.

Our Executive Leadership Team

Davide is a cofounder and CEO at Inkbit. He was previously cofounder and CEO at Firefly BioWorks, an MIT startup that commercialized a novel assay for miRNA detection, based on functional microparticles manufactured by flow lithography. Davide led Firefly from inception to its acquisition by Abcam. He obtained his BS in Industrial Engineering from Politecnico of Milan, his MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Stephanie, VP of Market Development at Inkbit, brings over a decade of additive manufacturing experience. Her journey includes key roles at EOS, a leader in industrial 3D printing. She led efforts to expand EOS’s presence in the global medical industry, initiated cultural change, and influenced strategic growth priorities. Stephanie holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from ETH and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs.

Steffi Kochbeck
VP MARKET DEVELOPMENT

Javier is cofounder and Chief Technology Officer at Inkbit. He heads systems and technology development activities. Previously, Javier worked at Rethink Robotics and Leaf. Javier obtained his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

Javier Ramos
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Eric has over 30 years experience leading high-performance product development, engineering and process development teams in the medical device and compound semiconductor industries. Prior to joining Inkbit, Eric was SVP of Engineering for 11 years at Cynosure, a leading developer and manufacturer of photonic and RF energy sources for medical aesthetics applications. Eric also led medical device product development teams at Smith and Nephew, and Johnson & Johnson.

Wojciech Matusik
COFOUNDER

Wojciech is an Inkbit cofounder. He is also a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT. The technological foundation of our company was developed in his laboratory. Prior to joining the MIT faculty, Wojciech worked in computer graphics and additive manufacturing research at Mitsubishi, Adobe, and Disney Imagineering.

Tim M. Swager
BOARD MEMBER

Timothy M. Swager is an American Scientist and the John D. MacArthur Professor of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research is at the interface of chemistry and materials science, with specific interests in carbon nanomaterials, polymers, and liquid crystals.

Bill Asher
BOARD SECRETARY

Bill is a Board Member at Inkbit and has served as legal counsel to technology and life sciences businesses for more than 35 years. As a partner at Boston law firm Choate, LLP, and previously at Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, LLP, Bill brings deep experience in corporate finance, securities law, strategic transactions, and corporate governance. Bill received his BA and JD from Harvard.

 John Chen
BOARD MEMBER

Dr. Chen is a Managing General Partner and co-founder of Phoenix Venture Partners (PVP). He brings over 25 years of experience in venture capital, start-ups, industry, and R&D. Prior to co-founding PVP, Dr. Chen was a Kauffman Fellow at Battery Ventures, where he formulated Battery’s Advanced Materials strategy, sourced over 1,200 investment opportunities, led and managed several investments with applications in IT and CleanTech, e.g., Lion Cells, Stonybrook Purification and Nanoconduction (acquired), and managed several of the firm’s corporate partnerships. Dr. Chen began his venture capital career at DFJ New England and Navigator Technology Ventures in Boston. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Dr. Chen held leadership roles in business, technology, and product development at several startups and leading corporations in the Advanced Materials sector, including Luminus Devices, EM Logix, Surface Logix, and Raychem (acquired). Dr. Chen received his PhD from MIT.

Guy Menchik
BOARD MEMBER

Guy Menchik is a 3D printing industry veteran, bringing 30 years of broad experience in technology innovation, managing game-changing product and application development in additive manufacturing. From 2001 to 2020, Menchik was VP of R&D at Stratasys, and at Objet before the merger, where he was part of the team that invented the PolyJet technology and led the development of the PolyJet solution from ideation phase through successful launch. Prior to that, from 1992 to 2001, Menchik was senior project manager at Scitex, leading the development of various printers for the pre-press market. Menchik has 83 granted patents and more pending. Menchik obtained his B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the Tel Aviv University.

Jason Weber
BOARD MEMBER

Jason Weber is Vice President of Engineering, Compressor Systems and Services, North America, at Ingersoll Rand. Prior to Ingersoll Rand, Jason held roles of increasing responsibility at Gardner Denver and Caterpillar. Jason’s leadership and team philosophy is based on servant leadership by action. His technical expertise includes drivetrain systems, transmissions, mechanism design, fluid flow analysis and gear design. Jason obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University.

Henry Ford III
BOARD MEMBER

Henry Ford III advises early-stage companies. He serves on several boards of directors including Ford Motor Company, where he sits on the finance committee and the sustainability, innovation, and policy committee. He began his career at Ford in 2006 holding positions in investor relations, corporate strategy, sales and marketing, purchasing, and labor relations.Henry serves as an advisor at Edgewater Funds, a private equity firm based in Chicago. He is a trustee of the Ford Foundation, the Henry Ford Museum, Neighborhood Villages, and the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant. He is a member of the advisory boards of Henry Ford College, Bridging Communities, Operation HOPE, and MiSide.Henry holds a BA from Dartmouth College and a MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
