Business Development Associate

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prospect and Generate Leads:

• Identify and research potential customers within target markets to create a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
• Utilize various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking to initiate contact and generate interest.

Qualify and Nurture Leads:

• Engage with leads to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives.
• Conduct effective discovery calls and product demonstrations to assess their fit for our solutions.
• Qualify leads based on established criteria and hand them off to the sales team for further engagement.

Conduct Outreach Campaigns:

• Develop and execute outbound prospecting campaigns to create awareness and generate interest in our products and services.
• Craft compelling email messages, scripts, and value propositions tailored to specific target segments to drive engagement and response rates.

Build Relationships:

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with potential customers.
• Understand their pain points and educate them on the benefits of our offerings.
• Engage in consultative discussions to provide insights and solutions that address their specific needs.

Collaborate with Sales Team:

• Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads.
• Provide comprehensive lead handoff documentation and relevant insights to facilitate effective follow-up and close deals.

Maintain CRM Database:

• Accurately document and track all prospecting activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
• Continuously update and maintain customer information to enable effective communication and future sales efforts.

Stay Informed:

• Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors' activities.
• Continuously expand knowledge of our products and services to effectively articulate value propositions and competitive advantages.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (entry-level candidates with strong motivation are also encouraged to apply).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with diverse audiences.
• Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with the ability to identify and qualify potential customers.
• Self-motivated and target-oriented mindset, with a drive to exceed goals and deliver results.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach) is a plus.

Application Engineer

Job Summary

As a member of our collaborative team, you will work together with colleagues on the development of new applications for Inkbit's additive manufacturing platform. You will assist prospective customers validate their use for our product and be their technical guide as they send orders to our in-house production facility. You have a strong understanding of design engineering using the most cutting-edge tools available. You are a creative problem solver who can communicate well with customers, salespeople, and engineers alike. Most importantly, you enjoy working with customers who are trying to push the boundaries and make something new.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Acting as the technical counterpart to support sales activities
• Acting as technical lead on joint customer projects
• Performing testing and analysis as part of joint customer projects
• Assessing, providing feedback on, and editing models provided by current and prospective customers
• Using state-of-the-art software tools to design parts that demonstrate the full capabilities of Inkbit's platform
• Preparing multi-material parts for production on internal printers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 1+ years direct experience
• Proficiency with modern CAD/CAE software such as Solidworks or OnShape
• Ability to communicate with colleagues and customers in non-engineering disciplines
• Ability to manage and report on joint development projects with customers

Bonus Skills

• Experience with additive manufacturing
• Experience with nTopology
• Experience with design engineering using topology optimization or generative design
